Participants can choose from distances of 51K, 26.2M, 13.1M, 10K, and 5K, all commencing at midnight near the iconic Alien Cowpoke General Store in Rachel, NV. This unique timing, coupled with the full moon, promises an unforgettable journey under a canopy of stars, with views of twilight desert glow and a glorious moonrise as you run.

The course itself offers a fascinating challenge, ranging in elevation from approximately 4,000 to 5,600 feet through the enchanting high desert landscape. While described as largely fast and flat, some distances feature a gradual incline in the initial miles before a steady descent, ensuring a rewarding mix for all runners. You'll be treated to stunning vistas of surrounding mountains and unique desert vegetation. Typical race day conditions in August see highs around 94F and lows around 62F, but thanks to the midnight start and Rachel's higher elevation, race night temperatures are often comfortably in the 60s, providing ideal running conditions.
