Get ready to experience the scenic charm of Norwell, Massachusetts, at Evan's Run on Sunday, May 17, 2026. This inspiring event, featuring a 5K road race and 5K walk, invites participants of all ages and abilities to traverse the picturesque roads of Norwell while supporting a vital cause: Autism awareness. As the 26th annual running, Evan's Run has built a strong reputation for its commitment to The Evan Henry Foundation for Autism, which funds crucial programs and promotes education for individuals and families affected by autism.
The USATF-certified 5K course is a major highlight, known for its "fast, net downhill" profile, making it an excellent opportunity to chase a personal record. Starting from the south side of the Norwell High School driveway, runners will navigate a course through South Street, Pleasant Street, Circuit Street, and Forest Street, enjoying the beautiful spring scenery. Typical race day conditions in mid-May bring comfortable highs around 70°F and lows around 49°F, with only a 15% chance of precipitation, creating ideal running weather. All pre-registered participants receive a high-quality event T-shirt to commemorate their involvement.
Beyond the main 5K, Evan's Run fosters a fantastic community atmosphere with children's races, including a 400M and 800M for ages 6-12 and a 40-yard dash for those 5 and under, ensuring fun for the whole family. The event culminates in a lively post-race party at The Tinker's Son in Norwell Center, offering food and complimentary beer for runners aged 21 and over. With its dedicated mission, a swift course, and a celebratory finish, Evan's Run promises a memorable and meaningful experience for every participant.
