Fairhope Pirate Dash 5K

Get ready for a swashbuckling good time at the 11th Annual Fairhope Pirate Dash 5K, set to sail on February 28, 2026, in the charming coastal town of Fairhope, Alabama. This beloved community event offers both a timed 5K and a delightful 1-Mile Fun Run, catering to runners of all paces and ages. The 5K course promises a scenic journey through Fairhope's picturesque Fruit & Nut District, winding with numerous turns before culminating in a triumphant finish along the beautiful Mobile Bay at Knoll Park. The 1-Mile Fun Run provides a family-friendly out-and-back route along Bayview Avenue, also finishing at Knoll Park.

Embrace your inner pirate as you dash through Fairhope, knowing that your participation directly benefits Fairhope East, Fairhope West, and J. Larry Newton Elementary Schools. Runners can expect typical race day conditions with highs around 69°F and lows around 43°F, and only a 14% chance of precipitation, providing an ideal climate for a spirited run. Volunteers will be stationed along the course to ensure runners are well-directed, guiding participants through this vibrant event.

Beyond the invigorating run, the Pirate Dash offers a lively atmosphere with post-race food and beverages at the finish line, along with exciting door prize drawings. Awards are presented to the top male and female 5K finishers in various age groups, while all Fun Run participants receive a foot bead upon crossing the finish line, and the top elementary-aged male and female receive a prize.
