Father's Day Race 5K Run/Walk

Lace up your running shoes for the 7th Annual Father's Day Race 5K Run/Walk, a heartfelt and invigorating event set to take place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, in Shreveport, LA. This family-friendly 3.1-mile run or walk kicks off at 8:30 AM CDT from Southern Hills Park, offering a scenic course that welcomes participants of all ages and abilities. Strollers, wagons, and baby joggers are encouraged to join, starting from the back, making it a perfect outing for the entire family.

More than just a race, this event, organized by On a Mission LLC, serves a powerful purpose: to raise funds for families experiencing homelessness and to provide scholarships for single fathers pursuing higher education. Runners can expect typical race day conditions in Shreveport to be warm, with highs around 92°F and lows around 72°F, and a 12% chance of precipitation, so plan accordingly. Beyond the finish line, the celebration continues with a lively post-race festival featuring free food and drinks, horseback riding, snow cones, and much more, ensuring a memorable experience for everyone.

Participants can pick up their race packets at RUN WILD (next to Silver Star Grill) on Thursday, June 11th, from 12 PM to 6 PM, or Friday, June 12th, from 10 AM to 5:30 PM. Race day packet pickup will also be available at Southern Hills Park. Trophies will be awarded to the overall male and female winners, while first and second place finishers across various age groups, from 11-under to 60+, will also receive awards.
