First Responders Suicide Prevention 5K

This inspiring 5K race, now in its fourth year, takes runners through a fast and flat road course, offering an excellent opportunity for personal bests or a comfortable stroll. The event is a USATF certified 5K and a Peachtree Road Race Qualifier, starting and finishing at 4200 Strong Rock Parkway. Typical race day conditions in late September feature pleasant highs around 81F and lows around 60F, with only a 12% chance of precipitation, creating ideal running weather.

Beyond the race itself, this event stands out for its profound purpose and vibrant atmosphere. Organized by RELIF, a nonprofit, in collaboration with Next Step Counseling, LLC, it directly supports training and counseling for first responders and their families. Held consecutively with National Law Enforcement Suicide Awareness Day, the 5K promotes a crucial trifecta of mental health, physical wellness, and community policing.
