Fitzgerald's Lager Run and Nipper 2K

Prepare for a vibrant community celebration at the Fitzgerald's Lager Run and Nipper 2K, set to take place on Sunday, June 14, 2026, in scenic Glen Ridge, NJ. This popular event offers both a challenging 5K Run/Walk and a family-friendly 2K Run, welcoming runners, joggers, strollers, and walkers of all ages. Both courses are USATF Certified and boast a net downhill profile, culminating in a fast track finish at Hurrell Field, located at 865 Bloomfield Ave. The 5K route guides participants along the beautiful tree-lined, gas-lit streets of Glen Ridge, promising a picturesque journey through charming neighborhoods with a mix of gradual downhills and some rolling ascents, making for an engaging and ultimately swift race.

Runners can anticipate typical race day conditions with highs around 81F and lows around 63F, and a modest 19% chance of precipitation. Beyond the race itself, the Fitzgerald's Lager Run is renowned for its festive atmosphere and generous amenities. All registrants receive a commemorative New Balance singlet or a cotton T-shirt, while the top 100 male and female 5K finishers are awarded a special pint glass. Nipper 2K finishers will proudly receive a commemorative medal. The celebration continues post-race with an awards ceremony, offering prize money for top USATF-NJ 5K finishers and age group awards, along with delicious refreshments including Hoboken Beer, wine, water, watermelon, and pretzels.
