Join fellow runners on Saturday, July 4, 2026, for the Freedom 4 Miler TEQUESTA, a truly meaningful Independence Day tradition in beautiful Tequesta, Florida. More than just a race, this event is a heartfelt tribute to fallen soldiers and their families, with all proceeds directly benefiting Believe With Me's "Gold Star Christmas project," aiming to provide Christmas gifts for over 2,500 children of fallen heroes. Participants are even invited to bring a new, unwrapped toy for a special "Christmas in July" toy drive.
The 4-mile course offers a scenic out-and-back journey through the charming Village of Tequesta and Tequesta Country Club. Each mile is dedicated to a local fallen hero, featuring inspiring props, signs, snacks, and music that personalize the experience and allow runners to connect with the stories of those honored. The race kicks off with an opening ceremony at 7:00 AM, beginning on Dover Road behind Tequesta First Baptist Church. Typical race day conditions in early July include highs around 90F and lows around 76F, with a 30% chance of precipitation, so prepare for a warm, Florida summer morning. After crossing the finish line, where families of the fallen heroes are often in attendance, the celebration continues at Constitution Park with an after-party featuring complimentary pancakes and Bolay food, along with an awards ceremony. Runners in the 4 Miler will receive a custom finisher's medal and a short-sleeve Sport-Tek shirt (for the first 1200 registered), with age group awards and special prizes for overall and masters winners. A 1-mile distance is also available, offering a shorter option to participate in this impactful event. Run with purpose and celebrate freedom at this incredibly moving and memorable race.
