Freedom 5K

This spirited 5K run kicks off from Victory Park at 100 Lockville Rd, offering a scenic course that winds through the paved bike path of Sycamore Creek Park, continues along Hereford Drive and Pickering Drive, before looping back to the finish line at Victory Park. The route is designed to be accessible for all, featuring a generally flat profile with minimal elevation changes as runners trace a 3.1-mile path perfect for both seasoned competitors and casual participants.

The Freedom 5K is more than just a race; it's a celebration of nation and community, proudly hosted as part of the annual Picktown Palooza. Runners can anticipate typical race day conditions with highs around 84F and lows around 63F, accompanied by a modest 16% chance of precipitation. Each participant will receive a distinctive Freedom 5K dog tag, and those who register by June 15th will also secure a race T-shirt and a three-day admission pass to the exciting Picktown Palooza. The event boasts chip timing for accurate results and offers awards to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top male and female in various age categories, including 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 & Over.
