Gale Pfueller Track Classic

Lace up your spikes for the Gale Pfueller Track Classic, a vibrant celebration of running spirit held on June 20, 2026, at Bellingham's Civic Stadium. This event, hosted by the Greater Bellingham Running Club (GBRC), honors the late Gale Pfueller, a beloved founding member whose lifelong dedication inspired runners of all ages and abilities. The track at Civic Stadium provides a flat, fast surface, ideal for chasing personal bests in the featured Gale Pfueller Mile.

Beyond the iconic mile, the Classic offers a full slate of track and field excitement, including 100-meter sprints, 400-meter dashes, and exhilarating 4x400-meter relays, with special events for kids 10 and under. To ensure a competitive yet welcoming atmosphere, mile and 400m races may be organized into heats based on estimated "seed" times, allowing runners to compete alongside those of similar pace. Awards recognize top finishers across various categories, including overall male, female, non-binary, and AWD, as well as the first-place finishers aged 50 and over.
