Gamble Graveller

Prepare for an exhilarating gravel adventure at the 5th annual Gamble Graveller, taking place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, in the stunning Port Gamble Forest Heritage Park in Kingston, Washington. This event offers a unique challenge with three distances to choose from: 20, 40, or 60 miles, each a loop of the well-marked course. Typical race day conditions in early May feature comfortable highs around 63°F and lows around 43°F, with a modest 16% chance of precipitation, providing ideal weather for hitting the trails.

The Gamble Graveller course is a true gravel enthusiast's delight, comprised of approximately 90% gravel roads and 10% easy single track, winding through the scenic Port Gamble trail system. Expect significant elevation changes, with routes featuring substantial climbs, providing a rewarding physical challenge and panoramic views of North Kitsap County. Runners will be treated to gorgeous spring scenery, including "golden eye candy" from abundant local flora, though those with allergies should be mindful of the blooming scotch broom.

Beyond the challenging terrain, the Gamble Graveller is known for its festive and supportive atmosphere. Participants will receive a finisher medal, RFID timing, mechanical support, and mid-course snacks to keep them fueled. A special highlight is the post-race celebration, featuring warm burritos (with gluten-free and vegetarian options) from Kingston's local restaurant, Argensol, a lively Beer/Cider Garden, fire pits, cornhole, and music. For those looking to extend the experience, Friday night tent camping and 4WD truck/van camping are available at the Uplands Trailhead, which also serves as the start and finish line. E-bikes are welcome in the non-competitive Gran Fondo category, ensuring everyone can join the fun. A portion of the proceeds also benefits the North Kitsap Trails Association, supporting the maintenance of these fantastic trails.
