Gateway Gallop 5k

The Gateway Gallop 5k invites runners to Indianapolis, IN, on Saturday, August 1, 2026, for a vibrant 5K race supporting a vital cause. This community-focused event, formerly known as the FlapJacks 5K, is dedicated to raising funds for the advancement and upkeep of local west side trails, benefiting both the B&O Trail Association and the White Lick Creek and Vandalia Trail Alliance.

Participants will embark on their 3.1-mile journey starting from the front of Ben Davis High School. The course is well-marked with cones and H-stake signs, and officers will be stationed along Girl School Road to ensure safe crossings. Typical race day conditions in early August feature highs around 86°F and lows around 67°F, with approximately a 12% chance of precipitation, offering a classic summer running experience.
