Gibbstown Bridge 5K

Lace up for the Gibbstown Bridge 5K, an exhilarating out-and-back race set for Saturday, April 11, 2026, in scenic Creole, Louisiana. This 3.1-mile event offers runners a unique experience, starting on Old Ferry Road near the south end of the Gibbstown/Conway Lebleu Bridge. The course leads participants north directly over the impressive bridge for 1.55 miles before turning back to the finish line, traversing the bridge once more.

Runners can anticipate breathtaking, sweeping views of the vibrant coastal marshlands and the serene Cameron Prairie National Wildlife Refuge as they conquer the bridge. This picturesque setting provides a memorable backdrop for your 5K effort. Typical race day conditions in early April feature comfortable highs around 77F and lows around 60F, with a minimal 10% chance of precipitation, creating ideal running weather.

Beyond the scenic course, the Gibbstown Bridge 5K is also a proud part of the Cameron Parish Race Series (Triple Crown) and serves a greater cause. Proceeds from the event benefit the Cameron Preservation Alliance - Sabine Pass Lighthouse Inc., supporting their dedicated efforts to restore the historic Sabine Pass Lighthouse in Southwest Cameron Parish. Packet pick-up begins at 6:30 AM on race day near the bridge, with the race kicking off at 8 AM.
