Gold Rush Race

Lace up your running shoes for the annual Gold Rush Race, returning to Tyrone, PA, on March 14, 2026! This festive event, a highlight of Tyrone's annual Irish Heritage Celebration, offers both a challenging 10K and an accessible 5K run/walk, along with a fun Kids Sprint, making it perfect for runners of all ages and abilities. The Gold Rush Race is presented by the Tyrone Race Series, known for organizing engaging and unique events in Central Pennsylvania.

The race kicks off and concludes at the Tyrone Armory, situated at 956 S. Logan Ave. The 10K, dubbed "Lenny The Leprechaun's Hill Challenge," promises an invigorating journey through Tyrone's neighborhoods and past local schools, featuring some gently rolling hills reminiscent of northern Ireland. Both the 5K and 10K courses are road-based, with clear direction signs, mile markers, and traffic control to guide participants. Runners can anticipate typical race day conditions with highs around 43F and lows around 23F, and only a 14% chance of precipitation, providing a crisp atmosphere for your run.
