On a typical early June race day, runners can expect comfortable conditions with highs around 81F and lows near 62F, and only a 17% chance of precipitation, making for ideal conditions to tackle the course.

Goliathon stands out with its innovative tiered obstacle system, a pioneering approach in obstacle course racing. The approximately 4-mile course features about 12 signature "Ninja Warrior style" obstacles, each presenting three levels of difficulty: G1 (easy, suitable for novices), G2 (challenging for obstacle enthusiasts), and G3 (extreme, designed to test elite athletes). This allows individuals, families, and teams of varying abilities to run together, choosing their desired level of challenge at each hurdle. Runners will navigate a verdant trail, encountering obstacles like the Leap of Faith, Slippery Wall Monkey, Sky Climb, Rope Cross, and Ninja Killer. While not a timed race, there is a four-hour limit for points to count towards completion, and participants consistently praise the event for its camaraderie and supportive atmosphere.
