The 13th Annual Growler Gallop Atwater 10 Mile & 5K returns to Detroit, Michigan, on September 27, 2026, offering runners an exceptional blend of urban energy and scenic waterfront beauty. Kicking off and concluding at the iconic Atwater Brewery, this race is renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and strong community spirit, making it one of Detroit's favorite fall running events. Both distances showcase the best of Detroit's landscape. The USATF-certified 10-mile course promises fast, flat, and scenic miles as it winds along the Detroit Riverwalk and circles the picturesque Belle Isle. For those opting for a shorter challenge, the 5K follows a flat and swift route along the Riverwalk, with a turnaround before the Belle Isle Bridge, and is welcoming to walkers and strollers. The course is well-supported, with the 10-mile race featuring multiple aid stations providing water and Gatorade at strategic points.
