GTC Sunrise Run 8K

Lace up for the 46th annual GTC Sunrise Run 8k, a legendary early morning summer kickoff event held on June 13, 2026, in Simpsonville, SC. This eagerly anticipated 8K road race, known for its iconic sunrise start at approximately 6:16 AM, offers a unique opportunity to beat the summer heat and experience the vibrant community atmosphere of Simpsonville. Runners will embark on a rolling 8-kilometer course, winding through the streets of Simpsonville, with the race commencing on Church Street directly in front of the First Baptist Simpsonville Activities Building.

The GTC Sunrise Run 8k is not just a race; it's a celebrated tradition and a key event in the Greenville Track Club's Corporate Shield series, attracting both local enthusiasts and competitive runners. Past editions have seen GTC-ELITE athletes consistently breaking course records, a testament to the course's potential for fast times despite its rolling terrain. Packet pick-up is conveniently offered on Friday, June 12th, at Run In (102 E. Curtis St., Simpsonville), and on race day from 5:00 AM to 6:00 AM at First Baptist Church (3 Hedge Street, Simpsonville). Ample parking is available around the church and on surrounding streets, though runners are advised to avoid parking on Park Drive, which is reserved for the Simpsonville Farmers Market.
