Gunselman's Leprechaun Chase 5K and 1 Mile Walk/Run

Lace up your running shoes and embrace the spirit of St. Patrick's Day at Gunselman's Leprechaun Chase 5K and 1 Mile Walk/Run on March 7, 2026, in Fairview Park, OH! This spirited event offers participants the unique chance to test their speed against a real leprechaun on the course, with an additional prize awaiting those who outpace the elusive character. The race kicks off and concludes at the Fairview High School track, leading runners and walkers through the "sloping numbered streets" of Fairview Park on what's described as a "fast and flat" road course. Runners can expect typical race day conditions in early March, with highs around 44F and lows near 28F, and a 15% chance of precipitation. Each participant in the 5K will receive a custom finisher medal and pin, alongside a Leprechaun Chase T-shirt. The event is proudly dog and stroller friendly, making it a perfect outing for the entire family.

The celebration doesn't end at the finish line! Head over to Gunselman's Tavern for an all-day post-race party featuring lively Irish music, delicious food, and complimentary post-race beer. Awards will be presented to top finishers, capping off a fantastic day of community, fitness, and fun.
