This 5K race, set on a certified course, invites runners, walkers, joggers, and even those with baby strollers and wheelchairs to participate, promising a welcoming and accessible experience for all. Runners can expect a relatively flat course within the beautiful park setting, ideal for personal bests or a leisurely stroll.

More than just a race, the Hair Peace and Hope 5K is a vibrant and uplifting gathering dedicated to raising awareness and support for individuals battling autoimmune diseases, particularly those experiencing hair loss. Organized by Women of H.O.P.E. (Health Occupations Promoting Education), the event directly funds hair prostheses (wigs) and other vital resources for those affected, recognizing the profound impact of these conditions. The atmosphere is spirited, celebrating strength and resilience within the community, and the first 300 registrants will receive exclusive race t-shirts and finisher medals. For those unable to join in person, a virtual race option allows participants to contribute from anywhere.

On race day, participants can expect registration to open at 6:00 AM, followed by race announcements and the national anthem at 7:00 AM, and a warm-up at 7:15 AM, before the official 5K start at 7:30 AM.
