Halfway To The Holidays Marathon, 1/2 Marathon, 1/4 Marathon, 5k & Kids Run

Lace up your running shoes and get ready for a festive summer celebration at the Halfway To The Holidays Marathon, 1/2 Marathon, 1/4 Marathon, 5k & Kids Run, hitting Johnstown, OH, on July 25, 2026. This unique event, hosted by USA Race Timing & Event Management, invites runners and walkers of all ages to embrace the holiday spirit early with a delightful Christmas in July theme. Choose your challenge from a 200M Kids Run, 3.1M 5k, 6.55M Quarter Marathon, 13.1M Half Marathon, or the full 26.2M Marathon, all starting and finishing on the scenic T.J. Evans paved trail.

The courses are designed as out-and-back routes along the paved trail, offering picturesque views and a relatively flat profile for a personal best. Aid stations are strategically placed throughout, with the full marathon featuring stops at miles 1.55, 3.27, 6.55, 9.8, 11.5, 13.1 (turnaround), 14.6, 16.4, 19.7, 22.9, and 24.6. Other distances also have ample hydration support. Given typical race day conditions in late July with highs around 86F and lows around 66F, and a 19% chance of precipitation, it's highly recommended that marathon participants carry personal hydration between aid stations.

What truly sets this race apart is its joyous atmosphere. Expect jolly decorations, cheerful music, and fun-themed surprises along the route. Participants receive a custom race bib, a finisher's medal, an ice cream or popsicle at the finish line, and an ice-cold towel, alongside their choice of a festive Santa hat, elf hat, colorful tutu, or race shirt. The event is also dog and stroller-friendly, even featuring a dedicated doggy water station at the finish line. The start and finish line, along with registration, are conveniently located near the shelter house at the Johnstown Dog Park (100 E Douglas St, Johnstown, OH 43031), with ample parking available.
