This thrilling event invites runners of all paces to embrace the Halloween spirit, offering a scenic out-and-back course through Knoxville's beautiful landscapes. Runners will complete multiple loops depending on their chosen distance: two for the 5K, four for the 10K, and a challenging six for the half marathon, all while enjoying shaded portions of the route. The race kicks off at 9:00 AM near Shelter #1 at Holston River Park, providing a festive atmosphere for participants.

Knoxville itself boasts a rich, albeit eerie, history with numerous haunted tales and locations, perfectly setting the stage for this themed run. Participants are encouraged to channel their inner ghoul or goblin, as awards will be given for the best costumes, adding a unique, playful element to the competition. Typical race day conditions in early October offer pleasant running weather, with highs around 78°F and lows near 53°F, and only a 14% chance of precipitation, ensuring comfortable conditions for your haunted dash.
