This US Road Running Club Race, held at the beautiful JR Alford Greenway, promises a thrilling experience for runners of all levels, combining festive fun with a challenging trail course. Participants can choose from a 5K, 10K, or Half Marathon (13.1M), all featuring an engaging out-and-back design on non-hard surfaces. The course winds through mostly wide multi-use trails with gently rolling terrain, offering picturesque views as you run along grassy meadows, through woodlands, and past numerous bluebird houses. Expect varied running surfaces, including a sandy bottom area and a moderate hill on crushed shell just past the two-mile mark, before finishing across a wide-open meadow.

Runners in the 5K will complete two laps, the 10K four laps, and the Half Marathon a total of six laps, all within a generous 3-hour and 30-minute time limit. Aid stations with water will be strategically placed on the course to keep you hydrated. Typical race day conditions for this time of year include highs around 86°F and lows around 65°F, with only a 10% chance of precipitation, making for potentially warm but generally clear running weather. All finishers will proudly receive a themed medal, and the festive atmosphere is enhanced by a costume contest, with the "Best Costume" award presented before the race begins.
