Prepare for an unforgettable journey through history and scenic Lowcountry charm at the Historic Georgetown Bridge2Bridge Run, set for March 21, 2026, in beautiful Georgetown, SC. This beloved annual event, affectionately known as "B2B," brings together runners and walkers for a celebration of community and purpose, offering distances of a Half Marathon (13.1M), 12K, and 5K. Runners can expect typical race day conditions around this time of year, with comfortable highs near 59F and lows of 38F, and only a 15% chance of precipitation.

All routes begin at the iconic Rice Museum Clock Tower on Front Street in Historic Downtown Georgetown, winding past historic landmarks and through residential areas showcasing signature tree-lined streets and beautiful lowcountry architecture. The Half Marathon and 12K courses challenge participants by crossing the iconic US Highway 17 bridges over the Waccamaw, Pee Dee, Black, and Sampit Rivers, renowned by runners as the most difficult half marathon on the SC coast due to the repeated bridge crossings. As you ascend, soak in panoramic sunrise views of Winyah Bay, with the natural backdrop of Hobcaw Barony. Half Marathoners will also experience the beautiful yet rugged dirt roads of Hobcaw Barony and the Cravens Grant neighborhood. For those tackling the 5K, the course remains within the historic district, offering picturesque views of Winyah Bay without crossing the major bridges. Aid stations are well-supported, with up to eight stops on the Half Marathon course, including gels, and two water stops for the 5K.

The Historic Georgetown Bridge2Bridge Run is celebrated for its excellent organization and warm hospitality, which many runners cite as a standout feature. Participants receive great finisher medals, and age group winners earn elevated awards. The event culminates in a lively post-race party featuring live music and a beer garden, creating a vibrant atmosphere at the finish line located in front of the Maritime Museum on Front Street. Embracing its community spirit, the race proudly supports the local charity, Friendship Place.
