About This Race

Lace up for a profoundly impactful event at the Honor the Fallen 5K and GORUCK, set to take place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, in scenic College Grove, TN. This inspiring race offers participants the choice of a 5K run/walk or a 1-mile Memorial Mile, along with a challenging GORUCK division where participants carry a weighted pack or vest. More than just a race, this event is dedicated to honoring our nation's fallen heroes and supporting the vital work of Memories of Honor, with 100% of registration fees directly benefiting the families of fallen service members. Runners can expect typical race day conditions with comfortable highs around 75F and lows near 53F, with only a 20% chance of precipitation.

The Honor the Fallen 5K boasts one of Middle Tennessee's most beautiful and accommodating courses, described as fast and flat, and entirely paved using street and golf course paths at The Grove. A water station will be conveniently located midway through the course, and real bathrooms are available at the venue. The atmosphere is designed for community and remembrance, with each participant receiving a Fallen Hero Memorial bib bearing the name of a fallen service member, a finisher's medal (for 5K and GORUCK participants), an event t-shirt, and a unique dog tag. GORUCK participants also earn a special patch.

The event kicks off with the 5K start at 9 AM from the north gate in front of the sales office, followed by the Memorial Mile at 10:20 AM. Afterward, connect with fellow community members and veterans at a vibrant after-party featuring live music and BBQ. Awards will be presented to top finishers in various age divisions, as well as for the most patriotic team and largest team, though these must be collected in person. Strollers and friendly dogs on leashes are welcome in the run/walk divisions, making it a truly inclusive experience for all who wish to honor and remember.
