Aid stations, featuring two water stops, are strategically placed along the route to support participants. Typical race day conditions in early August bring highs around 80°F and lows around 58°F, with a 15% chance of precipitation. It's worth noting that the Fireman's Challenge may be modified or discontinued by the Race Director if weather conditions become too hot or unfavorable.

The Houtzdale Days Annual 5K starts and finishes at the Houtzdale-Ramey Fire Company at 601 Good Street, placing you right at the heart of the Houtzdale Days festivities.
