Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Kentucky's iconic Red River Gorge, the Howlin' Wolfe 25k/50k offers an unforgettable trail running experience on April 11, 2026. Starting and finishing at the scenic Natural Bridge State Resort Park in Stanton, this event invites runners to explore a diverse course that blends road running, challenging single-track trails, and accessible fire roads. As you navigate the routes, you'll encounter fantastic natural features, with trails presenting a mix of uneven terrain, steep sections, rocks, roots, and even some demanding stairways. Prepare for typical race day conditions with highs around 68°F and lows around 43°F, and a 19% chance of precipitation, making for a potentially invigorating spring run.

Both the 25K and 50K distances promise a challenging yet rewarding journey through one of the United States' most spectacular natural settings. The 50K course, with its "hilly" elevation rating, features between 2,500 and 7,500 feet of gain and loss, while its "some rocks, root, and/or ruts" surface rating ensures a true trail runner's test. Strategically placed aid stations at the Gray's Arch parking area, Sky Bridge Road parking area, and Auxier Ridge parking area will provide crucial support throughout your adventure.
