The race kicks off at 9:00 AM from the Dequindre Cut Freight Yard, near 3019 Orleans Street. The course itself is a highlight, traversing the historic Dequindre Cut, a paved greenway nestled 25 feet below street level. This former railroad corridor offers a relatively flat route, perfect for chasing a personal best or enjoying a leisurely stroll, with separate lanes for pedestrians and bicycles. Runners can anticipate scenic views as they move from Eastern Market towards the Detroit Riverfront.
