Ice Cream Run

Get ready for a refreshingly sweet summer evening at the Ice Cream Run, returning for its second annual event on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, in Salem, Ohio! This delightful race, presented by GCXC Racing - Youngstown, offers the perfect blend of fitness and fun for the entire family within the picturesque setting of Waterworth Memorial Park. Participants can choose between a chip-timed 2-mile run/walk or a lively 0.5-mile Kids Run.

The charm of the Ice Cream Run extends beyond the scenic park course. Every 2-mile participant receives a custom bib number, a stylish participant shirt, and a finisher medal to commemorate their accomplishment. The highlight, of course, is the complimentary ice cream from the Totally 80s Ice Cream Shoppe awaiting all finishers at the line – a perfect cool-down treat for a typical July day, where temperatures usually range from a low of 60F to a high of 83F, with an 18% chance of precipitation. Packet pick-up conveniently takes place at Pavilion #8, right next to the start/finish line.
