In Step With Sam 2026!

Lace up for the 3rd annual In Step With Sam Legacy Run on Sunday, June 7, 2026, in scenic Ann Arbor, Michigan. This deeply meaningful event honors the tireless activism and passionate spirit of Samantha "Sam" Woll, offering participants a chance to run or walk in her memory. Choose your challenge with either a hilly 3.14-mile (5K) route that guides runners to "Sam's Tree" in the picturesque arboretum, situated by the Huron River, or opt for the 1-mile walk/run loop around Burns Park. A special Kids 0.5-mile Fun Run also takes place at Burns Park, celebrating Sam's joy in being an aunt and running with her niece and nephews.

Starting and finishing at Burns Park (1320 Baldwin Ave), In Step With Sam provides a unique atmosphere of remembrance and community. Typical race day conditions in early June boast pleasant highs around 78°F and lows around 54°F, with only a 15% chance of precipitation, creating ideal running weather. Every stride you take contributes to The Sam Center (Samantha Woll Center for Jewish Detroit), continuing Sam's legacy of making the world a better place.
