Independence Day 5K

This popular event is renowned for its fast, flat, and predominantly downhill chip-timed 5K course, making it ideal for runners aiming for a personal best or walkers looking for a fun, invigorating start to their holiday. The point-to-point route begins near Vassault Park at N 37th St & N Vassault St, treating participants to scenic views as they descend through Tacoma, culminating at the beautifully renovated Owen Beach at Point Defiance Park. This USATF Certified course is designed for both speed and enjoyment, welcoming all ages and fitness levels.

Participants in the Independence Day 5K can expect a vibrant, family-friendly atmosphere.
