Prepare for an unparalleled challenge at the Interstate 17 Trail Run, set for Saturday, August 8, 2026, in Closter, NJ. This 17-mile race is far from your average trail event, designed as a true test of strength and endurance. Runners will conquer over 5,000 feet of elevation change across a rugged, technical course featuring breathtaking viewpoints along the Hudson River as it traverses from New Jersey to New York and back again. The race kicks off with a mile on a closed road before plunging into four demanding 4-mile loops of technical terrain, including steep descents, challenging rock scrambles that may require hands-on navigation, rocky stairs, switchbacks, and winding singletrack paths. The first three loops are run counterclockwise, with a final clockwise loop to keep athletes on their toes.

Founded in 2017, the Interstate 17 has earned a reputation for its formidable course, promising an unforgettable experience filled with adrenaline and stunning scenery. Aid stations are strategically located at miles 1, 5, 9, and 13, offering a full spread of water, sports drinks, soda, candies, oranges, chips, and pretzels, and runners are encouraged to carry personal hydration due to the demanding nature of the course.
