IPA 5K & Half Marathon

This popular event, organized by YuKan Sports, LLC, offers runners the choice of a challenging half marathon or an invigorating 5K, both starting and finishing at the RiverWalk Brewing Co..

The half marathon course is described as scenic with a rolling elevation profile, featuring an approximate elevation gain of 185 meters (607 feet) over its entirely paved route. The 5K also offers a rolling course through the charming streets of Newburyport, a city known for its picturesque landscapes and vibrant downtown. You can expect typical race day conditions in mid-July to be warm, with highs around 84°F and lows around 63°F, and a 14% chance of precipitation. Nine aid stations with water, Zym Hydration, and energy gels are strategically placed along the half marathon course, while the 5K will have water available near mile 1.5. Runners are encouraged to carry additional hydration due to the summer temperatures.
