iRun for Kids

Lace up your shoes for the iRun for Kids, returning to Albany, OR, on March 14, 2026! This beloved community event offers distances for every pace, featuring a challenging 10-mile course, a brisk 5K, and the adorable Little Leprechaun Dash for the youngest runners (grades K-2). Starting and finishing at the West Albany High School track, the "fast and flat" road courses wind through picturesque downtown Albany before extending onto scenic rural highways, with past iterations ensuring unique routes without repeating loops for each distance. You can expect typical race day conditions with highs around 55F and lows near 36F, and a 20% chance of precipitation, as this is a rain or shine event.

iRun for Kids is more than just a race; it's a vital fundraiser for the Albany Public Schools Foundation, with all proceeds directly supporting grants, scholarships, and student programs. This annual tradition, now in its 20th year, draws over 500 participants and is celebrated for its inclusive, fun atmosphere, welcoming serious competitors, casual walkers, and even furry friends.
