Jack Frost 5K

Lace up your running shoes for the 37th Annual Jack Frost 5K, set to take place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, in Springfield, Missouri. This popular winter race, starting and finishing at the O'Reilly Catholic Student Center on South Holland Avenue, offers runners and walkers the chance to embrace the crisp February air while supporting Catholic Campus Ministry. Participants can choose between a chip-timed 5K run or a more leisurely 1.5-mile walk, making it an ideal event for all fitness levels.

The course provides a unique opportunity to experience a scenic loop around Missouri State University's campus. Runners can anticipate typical race day conditions with highs around 46°F and lows around 25°F, and a small chance of precipitation, creating a true "Jack Frost" atmosphere. All registered runners will be rewarded with a finishing medal, and the first 100 to 120 individuals to register are guaranteed a commemorative T-shirt. Gold medals await the top male and female finishers in each age division, adding a competitive edge to this well-established community event.
