Renowned as "the original costumed 100 mile trail run party," Javelina Jundred is celebrated for its unique, festive atmosphere, where runners often don costumes, enjoy explicit music, and embrace a truly "R-rated" ultra experience.

The course itself features rolling single-track trails winding through the stunning Sonoran Desert, showcasing giant saguaro cacti, distinctive granite boulders, and dry wash-beds. While relatively flat and fast for an ultramarathon, with a gentle climb of approximately 600-800 feet per loop, the total elevation gain for the 100-mile distance is around 7,900 feet. The 100-mile race consists of five loops, while the 100-kilometer option covers three, with many loops run in a "washing machine" style, alternating directions.
