The JSRC RunAPalooza, hosted by the Jersey Shore Running Club, returns to the vibrant Asbury Park, NJ, on April 11, 2026, offering a trio of distances to challenge every runner: a 26.2M Marathon Relay, a 13.1M Half Marathon, and a 5K. This "Top Tier Event" boasts a predominantly flat and fully paved USATF-certified course, ideal for achieving personal bests. Runners consistently praise the race for its efficient production, ample aid stations, and stunning oceanfront scenery that includes charming town streets and iconic boardwalk sections.
Each distance offers a unique coastal experience. The Marathon Relay takes teams of 1-5 members on an awesome 26-mile journey along the oceanfront, from Seaside Heights to Asbury Park, passing many scenic boardwalks. The Asbury Park Half Marathon, designated as the 2026 NJ RRCA Half Marathon Championship Race, starts and finishes in Asbury Park, winding through picturesque Jersey Shore towns like Interlaken, Allenhurst, Deal, Ocean Grove, Bradley Beach, and Avon by the Sea. For a faster pace, the Jersey Shore 5K is a flat course through Asbury Park, showcasing landmarks such as Convention Hall, the Stone Pony, and the Great Auditorium before a memorable finish on the historic Asbury Park Boardwalk.
Beyond the personal challenge, the JSRC RunAPalooza cultivates a festive atmosphere with live music and enthusiastic spectators lining the promenade, culminating in a lively finish area in Asbury Park. All events kick off at 8:30 AM, with the Half Marathon starting on Ocean Avenue, and contribute to a greater cause, benefiting the Jersey Shore Dream Center and other local charitable organizations. Typical race day conditions in April offer comfortable highs around 62F and lows around 40F, with only a 15% chance of precipitation, providing excellent running weather.
