Get ready to experience the sweet side of running at the Just Peachy race, set to take place on August 15, 2026, in the charming town of Palisade, Colorado. Offering both a 10K and a 5K distance, this event is perfect for runners of all abilities, from families and beginners enjoying the 5K to those seeking a challenge in the 10K. The course itself is a fun, cross-country style route, with approximately 50% on un-paved trails, treating participants to beautiful views of Palisade and highlighting the best features of Western Colorado as it winds along Riverbend Park. With a starting and high point elevation around 4600 feet, the course offers an engaging run with picturesque scenery.

Typical race day conditions in mid-August bring highs around 90°F and lows around 63°F, with only a 4% chance of precipitation, ensuring a generally clear and sunny experience. A water station will be available halfway through the 5K course to help keep runners hydrated. What makes Just Peachy truly unique is its deep connection to the local community and the famous Palisade Peach Festival. While the race now takes place the Saturday before the main festival to better support local first responders, registration includes not only an event t-shirt and a finisher's medal, but also fresh peaches and tickets to Friday's Peach Fest activities. The event proudly supports the Palisade Police and Fire Departments, raising significant funds for their vital services.
