This exciting 4.4-mile out-and-back course is run entirely on the stunning Kailua Beach, offering an unparalleled opportunity to race along the shoreline with the refreshing ocean breeze and the soothing sound of waves. The terrain is a flat, wave-washed beach, where shoes are optional, and you might even splash through shallow water depending on the tide.

The race kicks off at 6:30 a.m. from Kailua Beach Park near the boat ramp, with check-in beginning at 5:30 a.m. Runners will head towards the Kaneohe Marine Corps Base before turning around and finishing back at the start area.
