Kaniksu Ultras

Embark on an unforgettable trail running adventure at the Kaniksu Ultras, set for June 13, 2026, in the breathtaking Lower Selkirk Mountain Range of the Colville National Forest, Frater Lake, Washington. This challenging event offers a range of distances to test every runner, including the formidable Long Walk 100K, the classic Kaniksu 50-mile, the Sweet 50K, and the spirited Tall Trees 29K. The courses are renowned for their truly epic single-track trails and significant elevation changes, with the 50-mile race boasting an impressive 11,100 feet of gain and a climb to the rocky summit of Granite Peak, providing some of the Pacific Northwest's most stunning vistas. The Sweet 50K, a lollipop-style course, features 7,000 feet of elevation gain on an amazing single-track trail often described as a "roller coaster".

Kaniksu Ultras is celebrated not only for its demanding and beautiful courses but also for its deeply meaningful mission. As a 501(c)(3) organization, it honors the Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE) Community, with race proceeds directly supporting scholarships and emergency funds for military personnel in need. Runners can expect well-supported aid stations, typically stocked with a variety of essentials like pretzels, peanut butter and honey sandwiches, M&Ms, Oreos, fruit, gels, and even boiled potatoes with salt, ensuring adequate replenishment on the arduous journey. Crew support is available at designated, limited access points along the course.
