This rugged, point-to-point race traverses the entirety of Indiana's longest footpath, the Knobstone Trail, notorious for its demanding terrain and often referred to as "The Little AT" due to its steep, hilly landscape reminiscent of the Appalachian Mountains. Typical race day conditions in mid-April offer pleasant highs around 68°F and lows near 46°F, with a modest 20% chance of precipitation to keep things interesting.

The course itself is a relentless journey, challenging runners with roughly 10,000 feet of elevation gain through steep ascents, technical descents, and continuous rolling hills.
