Lake Erie Liberty 5K

Join the patriotic celebration at the Lake Erie Liberty 5K, set for Saturday, June 27, 2026, in beautiful Avon Lake, Ohio. This event invites runners and walkers of all ages and abilities to participate in either a 3.1-mile (5K) run/walk or a 1-mile fun run, celebrating 250 years of America. Starting and finishing at Beach Park Station, participants can expect a festive atmosphere by the scenic shores of Lake Erie.

Runners will receive a commemorative race shirt and a finisher medal to mark their accomplishment, with post-race refreshments available to refuel. Awards will be presented to the top overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three male and female age group winners. For those running with furry friends or little ones, strollers and dogs are welcome; participants are simply asked to line up closer to the back to ensure a smooth start for everyone. Typical race day conditions in late June often see comfortable highs around 82°F and lows near 64°F, with an 18% chance of precipitation.
