Lake Takanassee Summer Series

Embark on a summer tradition at the iconic Lake Takanassee Summer Series, kicking off on July 6, 2026, in picturesque Long Branch, NJ. The series offers a variety of distances, including a 1500M Kids Fun Run (one lap around the lake), a 1-mile race, a 2-mile race, and a 3.1-mile (5K) event which entails four laps around the lake. Race nights begin with the kids' run at 6:30 PM, followed by the 5K at 6:45 PM. Typical race day conditions in early July include highs around 87°F and lows around 66°F, with a modest 16% chance of precipitation, providing a warm summer evening for racing.
