Kick off your year on the right foot at the Lehigh Valley New Year's Chaser Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K, scheduled for January 1, 2027, in historic Coplay, PA. This popular event offers a refreshing start to the new year with a generally flat and fast course, making it ideal for runners aiming for a personal best or simply enjoying a scenic winter run. Participants can choose from a Half Marathon, 10K, or 5K, with a special combo option also available. Expect typical race day conditions with highs around 40F and lows near 25F, and a 14% chance of precipitation, providing a crisp and invigorating atmosphere for your race.

The course, praised by runners, is run on immaculate asphalt without potholes, primarily along the paved Ironton Rail Trail, offering picturesque views. The Half Marathon features two loops of a 5.25-mile course with a distinctive out-and-back spur, ensuring a well-marked and enjoyable experience. Aid stations are strategically placed at miles 2 and 4 on the course, and again at the start/finish area, providing water and Gatorade to keep you fueled.
