Litchfield Park Run

Get ready for a scenic and inviting experience at the Litchfield Park Run on Saturday, February 28, 2026, in the historic setting of Litchfield Park, Arizona. Participants can choose from competitive 10K, 5K, and 1 Mile races, or join the non-competitive 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk, making it a perfect event for all ages and fitness levels. The course features a remarkably flat street terrain, winding through the charming town and adorned with picturesque palm trees, offering a truly pleasant run.

This annual event is known for its welcoming atmosphere and commitment to community. Runners will find public restrooms available along the routes at the Recreation Center, Turtle Park, and Camelback Park. The 10K race begins and ends in front of the Litchfield Park Recreation Center, while the 5K and 1 Mile races kick off just east of the Litchfield Park Library on Old Litchfield Road. Typical race day conditions in late February offer ideal running weather, with historical highs around 74°F and lows around 48°F, and only a 4% chance of precipitation. After crossing the finish line, competitive runners can vie for medals awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each age group, with overall winners receiving special recognition plaques. All participants in the non-competitive 1 Mile fun run will receive a medal, and food and drinks will be available post-race. Proceeds from the event support Friends of the Rec, a non-profit dedicated to youth and family recreational programs in the area.
