Embark on an unforgettable trail running adventure at the Live Oak Odyssey, set against the stunning backdrop of O'Neill Regional Park in Trabuco Canyon, CA, on November 14, 2026. This unique fixed-time event challenges runners to complete as many loops as possible within 3, 6, or 8 hours, offering a dynamic experience for all levels of trail enthusiasts. The 2.75-mile (or 2.78-mile) loop course is both tough and rewarding, featuring approximately 500 to 530 feet of elevation gain per circuit. Runners will navigate a diverse terrain of uphills, downhills, runnable single track, and wider double track, all while being immersed in the park's natural beauty.

The Live Oak Odyssey course winds through heavily wooded areas adorned with coast live oak and sycamore trees, transitioning to hillsides vibrant with cactus, wild buckwheat, sagebrush, and chaparral of scrub oak, buckthorn, and mountain mahogany. Prepare for breathtaking views of Santiago and Modjeska Peak as you tackle the climbs, creating a truly scenic odyssey. With typical race day conditions seeing highs around 77°F and lows near 53°F, and only a 3% chance of precipitation, the weather is often ideal for a sustained effort on the trails.

Aravaipa Running, known for fostering a vibrant outdoor community, ensures a seamless race experience, complete with well-marked courses, chip timing, and unique finisher awards. Runners benefit from a generously stocked main aid station located at the start/finish line, accessible with each loop.
