Luau 5K, & 10K at Midlothian, VA (19)

Embrace the festive spirit at the Luau 5K & 10K, set to take place in scenic Midlothian, VA, on Saturday, May 9, 2026. This vibrant event, kicking off at 8:00 AM, invites runners of all levels to enjoy an engaging out-and-back course that winds through the beautiful surroundings of Midlothian, offering picturesque bridges, forested trails, and views around a serene lake. As part of the US Road Running Race Series, the Luau 5K & 10K is known for its welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere where fun is as important as fitness.

Runners tackling the 5K will complete the course twice, while 10K participants will navigate it four times, experiencing the gentle terrain and scenic Chesterfield area. Each finisher will be celebrated with a unique, themed medal, adding a tropical touch to your achievement. While not mandatory, participants are highly encouraged to don their best luau-themed costumes for a chance to win the coveted "Best Costume" award and join in a lively pre-race group photo.

Packet pickup begins 30 minutes before the 8:00 AM start, concluding 10 minutes prior to race time. Please note that all registrations must be completed online via RunSignup, as there will be no on-site registration available. The race commences near Headstock next to Loch Lothian in Midlothian Mines Park, located at 13301 N Woolridge Rd. Typical race day conditions in early May feature comfortable highs around 76°F and lows around 54°F, with a modest 17% chance of precipitation, creating pleasant running weather for this two-hour timed event.
