Medal Madness 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon

This popular US Road Running Race Series event offers a distance for every runner, from the swift 5K to the challenging 13.1-mile half marathon. Prepare for typical race day conditions with highs around 70°F and lows near 47°F, alongside a minimal 6% chance of precipitation, providing an ideal environment for personal bests.

All races commence bright and early at 8:30 AM from the vibrant start/finish line located at 5th Ave SW & Water St SW, often associated with Heritage Park. The course itself is a scenic out-and-back route designed for accessibility and enjoyment. Half marathoners will tackle a 3.18-mile out-and-back segment six times, while 10K participants complete a 1.56-mile loop four times, and 5K runners will do the 1.56-mile loop twice. This multi-lap format allows runners to familiarize themselves with the course and gauge their pace.

Medal Madness stands out for its runner-focused atmosphere, offering a generous 3-hour and 30-minute time limit across all distances, ensuring everyone has ample opportunity to cross the finish line.
