Military Heroes 5k/10k Run

Lace up for a purpose at the 14th Annual Military Heroes 5k/10k Run, set to take place on Saturday, August 15, 2026, in the scenic town of Westlake, Texas. This inspiring event, commencing at 7:00 AM CDT from Solana Plaza (1301 Solana Blvd), offers runners a chance to support America's injured service veterans, having proudly raised and donated over $2.5 million throughout its history. Participants can choose between two chip-timed distances: a 5k course, measuring approximately 3.4 miles, and a challenging 10k route of roughly 6.2 miles.

The race unfolds on a picturesque trail and path system within the Solana Plaza area. The 5k course is a shaded loop, while the 10k offers a more challenging experience with rolling hills and segments providing shade as it branches off the 5k route before rejoining it. Runners can expect typical race day conditions in mid-August to include highs around 99°F and lows around 77°F, with an 8% chance of precipitation. Parking is conveniently located in Garage B at 1400 Solana Blvd, a short walk across the street to the event site.
