MVRRC Valentines Day Kids 1-Mile, 5K and 10K Race (Cash Prize)

Lace up your running shoes and join the Moreno Valley Road Runners Club for their annual MVRRC Valentines Day Kids 1-Mile, 5K and 10K Race, set to take place on Saturday, February 14, 2026, in scenic Perris, CA. This cherished Southern California tradition offers a fantastic way to celebrate Valentine's Day, whether you're aiming for a personal best or enjoying a fun outing with family and friends. The event boasts a flat, traffic-free course along the Lake Perris Dam, providing beautiful lake views and a smooth, enjoyable run for participants of all ages and abilities. The 5K is an out-and-back route, while 10K runners will complete two loops of the same scenic course.

Runners can anticipate typical race day conditions with comfortable highs around 69F and lows around 42F, accompanied by a low 7% chance of precipitation, making for ideal running weather. The event starts and finishes at the Dam area of Lake Perris State Recreation Area, with packet pick-up opening at 7:30 AM on race morning. Participants in the 5K and 10K races will compete for cash prizes, with awards presented to the top three male and female finishers in both open divisions. Young runners (ages 12 and under) can also join the excitement in the 1-Mile Kids Race, with awards for the top three boys and girls. Every participant in all races will receive a finisher's medal, making it a rewarding experience for everyone involved.
