Mystic Half Marathon & 10K

Lace up for an unforgettable journey through one of Connecticut's most charming coastal towns at the Mystic Half Marathon & 10K, returning on May 17, 2026. This popular annual event invites runners to experience the historic beauty of Mystic, with both a challenging 13.1-mile half marathon and a scenic 6.2-mile 10K. Typical race day conditions in mid-May offer pleasant highs around 66°F and lows around 50°F, with only a 14% chance of precipitation, providing ideal running weather.

Both races kick off from Coogan Boulevard, near the entrance to Olde Mistick Village, and share a picturesque route for the first 5.9 miles. Runners will enjoy breathtaking scenic views as they wind past historic ships, through the charming downtown, over the iconic Mystic Drawbridge, and along River Road. While the 10K boasts a relatively flat course with approximately 107-108 feet of elevation gain, the half marathon presents a more undulating challenge with around 500-600 feet of rolling hills, particularly in the latter half. Aid stations are strategically placed every 1 to 2 miles, offering water and NUUN, with some also providing UCAN Edge Energy Gels for half marathoners. Mile markers with clocks are present throughout the course, ensuring runners can track their progress.

The race culminates with a memorable finish in front of the Mystic Aquarium. Participants in both distances receive a custom-designed finisher medal, often featuring a unique, locally inspired theme, and a short-sleeve technical shirt.
