Nawic Paving The Way 5K

Lace up your running shoes for the Nawic Paving The Way 5K, taking place on Sunday, March 1, 2026, in the heart of El Paso, TX. This popular 5K event, which also includes a 1 Mile Fun Walk, offers a fantastic opportunity to kick off your March with a sense of accomplishment and community spirit. The race starts and finishes at Up and Running, located at 3233 N Mesa, with the 5K race officially beginning at 8:00 AM MST.

Runners can anticipate typical race day conditions with comfortable temperatures, as historical weather for this time of year generally sees highs around 69°F and lows around 42°F, with a minimal 1% chance of precipitation. Packet pick-up is conveniently available the day before, on February 28, 2026, from 12 PM to 6 PM, or on race day from 7 AM to 7:45 AM, both at Up and Running. This event is a proud fundraiser for the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Scholarship Funds, supporting the next generation of women in the construction industry, a cause championed by the El Paso chapter since 1978.

Participants in the Nawic Paving The Way 5K will receive short sleeve T-shirts and custom finisher medals, with both items guaranteed for the first 300 registered participants and finishers, respectively. Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, along with age group awards and a special trophy for the largest team, adding a competitive and celebratory atmosphere to this impactful event.
